The town of Datça is situated on the south coast of the Datça peninsula; this large provincial town sprawling up the rolling hillside has a welcoming harbour with a broad promenade. Datça seems to be the nut capital of south west Turkey having fresh nuts of all types for sale at almost every corner.
There is a beach front easily accessible from the town centre, along with the many bars and restaurants within the town making this a great stopover.
