6th MEDYS Charter Show in the beautiful town of Nafplio
Day 2 of the show (our first day) saw mixed weather with sunshine, breeze and a little rain.
This years event is larger than ever with more yachts and larger yachts attending.
Taking pride of place is the gorgeous and massive O’Ptasia at 85 metres she dominates the harbour and is a delight to behold. Built in 2018 we wish O’Ptasia a successful inaugural season.
Old friends and new
Meeting Barbara from Fyly Yachting for the first time in over 10 years I was worried that I wouldn’t recognise her, but (unlike me) she hasn’t changed at all. Still beautiful and still a great conversationalist. I know Barbara from my days of chartering bareboats out of Alimos, she even remembered which yachts I had chartered.
Barbara introduced us to Giorgos, the captain of Fountaine Pajot catamaran “Number One”. Instinctively you can tell that this man is a great captain, he has incredible knowledge of his vessel and not only Greek waters but the whole of the Med (and beyond). Choose this catamaran and you can be sure of a great voyage.

We’ve been Instagram friends for a while now and it is great to meet the people behind the profile. Panagiotis and Alexandros of Balaskas Yacht Supplies are the faces behind Greece’s premier yacht provisions company, with a presence in most major ports and marinas around the Greek mainland, if these guys can’t find what you need then it’s very likely not available anywhere.
